As the art director of Planning magazine, a monthly publication of the American Planning Association, I developed rich storytelling experiences for association members.
MY GOAL was to bring the human experience into stories about urban planning. I did this by creating packages that honored the writer's narrative while weaving in photos, videos, podcasts, and infographics from credible news sources.
My news training and love for photojournalism raised the bar on the results. My innate curiosity for stories also led me to report out additional content that rounded out each package. What drives me is matching the content and tone of a piece through various mediums — with a twist of the unexpected.
